Bayreuth
Байройт, город в федеральной земле Бавария. Расположен в долине р. Красный Майн (Roter Main), одного из двух истоков р. Майн. Основные отрасли экономики: производство радио- и телекоммуникационного оборудования, фарфора, сигарет, туризм. В 1975 г. открыт университет. Хорошо сохранился архитектурный облик города в стиле барокко и т.н. "байройтского рококо" (Bayreuther Rokoko), созданный в XVIII в. Место проведения знаменитых Байройтских фестивалей. Заложен в XII в. графами Андексскими (Grafen von Andechs), статус города с 1231 г., первое упоминание в 1194 г. → Bayern, Main, Wagner Richard, Bayreuther Festspiele, Bayreuther Festspielhaus, Paul Jean, Barock
